Homemade Oat Milk

  • 1 literwater
  • 100 gfine oats
  • 2dates or maple syrup (to taste)
  • A pinchsalt

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Nut milk bag or a fine mesh strainer
  • Large bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Preparation

  1. Prep Ingredients
    Measure out all ingredients.

  2. Blend
    Add the water, oats, dates or maple syrup, and a pinch of salt to the blender. Secure the lid.

  3. Blend on High
    Turn the blender on the highest setting and blend for 1 minute. The mixture should look creamy and well combined.

  4. Strain the Milk
    Place the nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer over a large bowl. Pour the oat mixture into the bag or strainer.

  5. Squeeze Out the Milk
    Gently squeeze the nut milk bag or press the mixture through the strainer with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible.

  6. Store
    Transfer the oat milk to a bottle or jar. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Shake well before each use.
